Yodle Wins Stevie Award for Fastest Growing Business

Yodle, a leader in local online advertising, was selected as a finalist and ultimately became the winning company for the Stevie Award category of Fastest Growing Company — Under 2,500 Employees in The 2010 American Business Awards on Monday, June 21st.

The awards were presented during ceremonies at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York City. The ceremonies were hosted by Cheryl Casone of Fox Business Network and broadcast nationwide on radio by the Business TalkRadio Network.

In winning the Stevie, Yodle beat out other finalists including AudienceScience, LifeLock, and McLane Advanced Technologies. Stevie Awards were presented in over 40 categories including Best Overall Company of the Year, Executive of the Year, and Corporate Social Responsibility Program of the Year. More than 2,700 entries from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted for consideration. More than 200 executives across the country participated in the judging process to determine the Finalists and Stevie Award winners.

This year marks Yodle’s fifth in business and it has been a momentous one for the company already. Yodle grew nearly 150% in year over year revenue from 2008 to 2009, making it the third year in a row for triple digit growth; and added more than 100 employees around the country. Yodle also not only introduced multiple new product innovations including yodleOrganic, but CEO Court Cunningham literally wrote the book on local online advertising when he co-authored Local Online Advertising for Dummies, the first ever comprehensive guide to online advertising for local businesses Yodle has truly established itself as an industry leader over the course of the last twelve months.
