On March 20, Ukrainian Wladimir Klitschko will defend his IBF, WBO and IBO Heavyweight titles against WBO #1 ranked fighter American Eddie Chambers at ESPRIT arena Düsseldorf, Germany. The fight is available for viewing online only and will not be aired by any pay-per-view, cable or broadcast channels. This is first time that American boxing fans can only see a live heavyweight fight online. The Conduit Platform was chosen to deliver live broadcasting of the match via a custom app that will be shared with 220,000 publishers and 100,000,000 users in the Conduit Network.

Hamburg-based Triumph Media Group GmbH announced today that it has created a browser application using the Conduit Platform to make viewing and registration for the pay-per-view fight simple and direct. The app can be added to all the major browsers including Internet Explorer, Firefox and Safari allowing users to access the broadcast from anywhere they are online. Other app features include statistics, social media announcements, and promotions leading up to the main event.

Triumph Media Group will also leverage the Conduit App Marketplace to distribute the app to more than 100,000,000 million users in the global Conduit Network. Boxing fans can instantly add the app to their browser and watch the fight directly on March 20, no matter where they are surfing on the internet.

“This is the first time that a heavyweight title fight will be available exclusively online in the United States and Canada. For this reason, it was critical for Triumph Media Group to offer quick registration and easy access to the online broadcast,” said Adam Boyden, president of Conduit. “This is why Triumph chose to build a custom app using the Conduit Platform. Not only do we have a massive network to which they can promote the fight, but also, the app will allow persistent delivery of the broadcast and make it easy for for fans of every computer skill level to access it.”
