Classified Ads Site for Twitter Users Launched

Published 21 May 2009 No Comment

Mihai Mafteianu, Entrepreneur IT&C and Viorel Spinu, Managing Partner at Sety (The Java Company), have launched a new Twitter service, at OpenCoffee Bucharest. Together they have come with a solution for Twitter users needs, who wanted a place specially created for micro classified ads in a web interface. The purpose of the online project is to offer a market place for Twitter Classified Ads with a simple and functional website. The site, twimarket.com, is structured in five categories through which people can follow the posted ads they are interested in, being an efficient way of spreading the information. At this moment, the categories are the following: house, cars, jobs, gadgets and other ads. Although the project targets the international market, the public presentations which were made locally for promoting TwiMarket project, received positive feed-back.

From the beginning, the two entrepreneurs, Viorel Spinu and Mihai Mafteianu, were keen to make twimarket.com go online in two weeks. And they did it. The “hobby project” as they named it, during an interview for startups.ro, is yet to be improved. Talking about twimarket.com during the same interview, Mihai Mafteianu said: “Our target is those people who use Twitter and are interested in sharing various messages B2C (business to consumer) and C2C (consumer to consumer) on certain categories (ex. auto, jobs etc) now and TwiMarket.com.”
