An innovative online job recruitment portal, http://jobs.search.co.uk, is about to launch which aims to revolutionise the online recruitment advertising market in the UK.
The main appeal to job advertisers is a unique Pay-Per-Response pricing model, which means recruiters can advertise jobs online for free and only pay for ‘quality’ applications to that job within targeted geographic limits, rather than paying for the privilege of advertising in itself. Using free ‘back-office’ tools, the advertiser can even preview the applicants CV before selecting the relevant bespoke email response within seconds.

The idea of an all-in-one Internet web advertising service sounded like a must-have tool for anyone wanted maximum exposure for promoting their products. But Ewen Chia was more interested in the reality than only a concept.

Exchange & Mart owned by Newsquest, a regional newspaper publisher, said February would be its last month. There are reports that there will be 80 possible redundancies.
Exchange & Mart was bought by Newsquest in September 2005 from United Business Media as part of a £50.25m deal that also included Auto Exchange.
Newsquest is expected to focus its efforts on exchangeandmart.co.uk, the tenth most popular automotive classified websites in the UK according to Hitwise.
